Improving Your Experience: The New WES Application Portal

WES Staff | February 17, 2026

We’re introducing a new application portal to improve your experience! During our phased rollout beginning in late January, you may see either the current portal or the new one. Both versions are secure and fully supported.

So what’s new? Below is an overview of the key enhancements you’ll notice in the updated portal.

1. An Enhancedand Accessible Visual Experience

The first thing applicants will see is a modernized design that’s cleaner, more organized, and easier to navigate. The new interface is designed to adapt across desktop and mobile devices.

Applicants can also adjust accessibility settings by clicking on the green circle on the bottom left of any page on the portal. Clicking on this opens a pop-up with adjustable settings.

2. One Account for All Applications

Applicants no longer need to create multiple accounts to submit applications for different destination countries. All applications and evaluations are managed through a centralized dashboard.

3. Updated Reference Numbers

WES reference numbers are now 10‑character alpha-numeric codes. In addition, applicants only receive their reference numbers after their payment has been completed by credit card or Convera (formerly Western Union) and received by WES.

4. Profile Management

Applicants can now update key profile details, including their phone number, email address, or mailing address, directly from their account without having to contact our customer support team.

5. A Simplified Application Process

The new experience includes a 7‑step application tracker that visually guides applicants from start to finish. Each step is clearly defined, helping applicants understand where they are in the process and what actions still need to be completed.

6. Credential Management

Individuals applying for more than one destination country can now add the credentials they’ve already entered to new applications—a huge timesaver.

7. Improved Tracking and Status Updates

The new dashboard tracks the receipt of documents and provides real-time updates, keeping applicants informed of the status of their application.

8. Clearer Package Details and Comparisons

Applicants can see what each package includes (for example, Basic, ICAP) and compare them side by side to choose the one that best fits their needs.

9. Enhanced Required Documents Information

The updated design makes it easier for applicants to understand which documents they need and how to submit them, with simple, step-by-step guidance throughout.

10. Better Access to Support

Customers now have easier access to self‑service tools, articles, and guidance directly from the portal, along with the option of contacting Customer Support through the Help widget.

Looking Ahead

These improvements will help ensure that WES applicants receive timely updates, have greater accessibility, are better informed, and benefit from an easier, more intuitive application experience. We’re committed to ongoing enhancements that support all WES applicants. For more information, please visit the FAQs page or contact the Help Center.
