Credential Evaluation Requirements

Trent University requires a Course-by-Course ICAP report if you have completed post-secondary studies. If you only have a high school diploma, please request a Document-by-Document ICAP report instead. The university also requires that your report be sent electronically.

For Bachelor of Education applicants, Trent does not require an evaluation of your high school diploma. Please only include your post-secondary studies on your WES application. (If you list your high school diploma, WES will request it, which could cause unnecessary delays since it’s not required by Trent University.)

For all other undergraduate degree applicants, Trent requires a high school evaluation if you attended high school within 5 years of your intended start date and does not have post-secondary education. Be sure to include your high school diploma on your WES application. (If you omit it, WES will not request it, and you may need to order an upgrade later to add it. To avoid delays and unnecessary cost, include your high school diploma from the start so it can be included in your report.)

If you have not applied to WES before, follow the steps below before starting your application:

1. Select Canada for your evaluation.
2. Select WES Standard Application.
3. Add Trent University as a recipient. (please choose from the dropdown to select Office of Undergraduate Admissions).
4. Select WES CxC ICAP as the evaluation type

If you have a CxC ICAP with WES before and you do not need to add High School as an additional credential, follow the steps below:

1. Select Duplicate Report.
2. Add Trent University as a recipient. (please choose from the dropdown to select Office of Undergraduate Admissions)

If you have a CxC ICAP with WES before and you need to add High School as an additional credential, follow the steps below:

1. Select Upgrade Report.
2. Add High School as an additional credential.
3. Add Trent University as a recipient. (please choose from the dropdown to select Office of Undergraduate Admissions).

Follow the country-specific document requirements and arrange for your documents to be delivered to WES.
