World Education Services: Statement
Ensuring that immigrants, refugees, and international students can put their talents and experience to work in new countries drives all that we do at WES, as it has for 50 years. Every day we see firsthand how welcoming economies and newcomer success advance growth and opportunity for communities big and small.
Yesterday, a new U.S. presidential administration took office, undertaking a number of actions that impact our country’s tradition of inclusion, the well-being of communities that are home to immigrants, the stability of businesses that rely on immigrant employees and talent, and more.
Amid these changes and with the expectation of additional actions, WES remains committed to its mission of helping people learn, work, and thrive in new places and of helping society recognize the value of people’s education and experience. We are resolute in our belief that everyone benefits from an inclusive economy.
As we have through multiple presidential administrations, we will continue to work closely with our many partners to ensure immigrants can contribute their talents, feel safe, and enjoy equitable access to both long-established protections and continued opportunity. At a moment when global mobility, both voluntary and forced, is at an all-time high, this shared and ongoing work is a vital heartbeat that will sustain our national identity and build towards greater strength in the future.
