Parmi eux, 91\u00a0% sont des immigrants, tandis que 70\u00a0% sont les principaux soutiens financiers de leur foyer. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un mod\u00e8le d\u2019auto-gestion coop\u00e9rative et \u00e0 un fort ancrage communautaire, cette initiative cherche \u00e0 mettre fin aux conditions de travail abusif dans le secteur des VTC. L\u2019objectif\u00a0? Rendre aux chauffeurs la ma\u00eetrise de leur m\u00e9tier et leur donner les r\u00eanes de cette \u00e9conomie num\u00e9rique.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\"201341983\":0,\"335559685\":720,\"335559739\":160,\"335559740\":259}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"none\">Cette coop\u00e9rative est n\u00e9e d\u2019un projet de recherche-action participative financ\u00e9 par The Workers Lab et Capital Impact Partners. En avril\u00a02020, elle a lanc\u00e9 Co-op Ride, la premi\u00e8re coop\u00e9rative de plateforme de covoiturage au monde d\u00e9tenue par ses chauffeurs, avec pour mission de produire une richesse collective tout en promouvant un mod\u00e8le juste et \u00e9cologique dans le secteur des VTC. La Driver\u2019s Cooperative offre des avantages \u00e0 court terme \u00e0 ses conducteurs adh\u00e9rents ainsi que des opportunit\u00e9s de perfectionnement et de formation en informatique, un programme de leadership militant, des ressources de formation au num\u00e9rique et d\u2019apprentissage linguistique et ainsi que des programmes d\u2019entraide.
