Certification
Certifications are not required, but could make employers more likely to hire you or offer you a higher salary.
You may be eligible for one of the following certifications:
- Construction Manager-in-Training (CMIT) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM), both offered by the Construction Management Association of America. CMIT requires no work experience, while CCM requires at least four years of experience.
- Certified Associate Constructor (AC) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC), both offered by the American Institute of Constructors (AIC). AC requires no work experience, while CPC requires at least four years of experience.
