Academic Requirements
Typically requires a bachelor’s degree. If you do not already have a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) or Master of Architecture (M.Arch) degree, or if your degree was not found to be substantially equivalent to a US B.Arch or M.Arch, then adding a professional level architecture degree would make you eligible for licensure as an architect; and being a licensed architect can make you eligible for careers with greater responsibility and higher salaries in this pathway. Your existing education might give you advanced standing or transfer credit towards a higher degree, reducing the time it would take you to graduate.
-
Certification
Certification is not required.
-
Licensure
No licensure is required to work as an Accessibility Consultant, although some employers may prefer to hire candidates who are licensed architects.
