WES Evaluation Reports
Licensing boards can use WES evaluations secure in the knowledge that they are based on valid documents and prepared
by experts using the most advanced evaluation information, methods and tools.
The WES evaluation was designed with input from academic institutions and professional licensing boards. In a clear
and consistent manner, it presents all the items that are essential for boards in determining whether candidates meet
the academic standards required for licensing or certification eligibility.
WES offers three types of evaluations; most licensing and certification boards rely upon the Comprehensive
Course-by-Course report. WES also offers a report specifically designed for Accounting Boards, as well as a more
basic Document-by-Document report. These reports are described in detail below, with sample reports provided for
reference.
Comprehensive Course-by-Course Report ($160)
When detailed evaluation of the candidate’s academic performance is essential, the Course-by-Course Report is recommended.
It provides a description of each diploma or certificate, indicates periods of education and provides an equivalency for each
document. In addition, it includes:
- A list of all subjects completed at the post-secondary level
- A U.S. semester credit and grade equivalent for each course
- A U.S. grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale

CPA Board Evaluation ($260)
Developed to meet the specific needs of U.S. CPA Boards, in addition to the information provided in our Course-by-Course
report, this report provides a separate analysis of business and accounting courses and their level, which is necessary to
provide the specific information required by most state CPA boards.
Document-by-Document Report ($100)
A Document-by-Document evaluation identifies and describes each diploma or certificate, indicates periods of education
and provides an equivalency for each document. It verifies the authenticity of the credentials received, but does not
provide the more detailed analysis found in the reports listed above.
