NEWS FEATURE PRACTICAL INFORMATION FROM THE ARCHIVES

KoreaKorean Council for University Education (KCUE) An assessment and ranking of universities was carried out by the Korean Council for University Education, an umbrella group for Korean four-year universities, and published by the Ministry of Education and Human Resources in 2005. The report and rankings were based on the University General Assessment, a series of inspections carried out in 2004. This ranking represents the first time the ministry has made such information publicly available. The evaluation considered management, student/faculty ratio, research performance, and student satisfaction. It was conducted across three fields of study: mechanical engineering; biology and biotechnology; and mass communications, advertising and public relations. ResultsOverall
