Admissions Requirements
Graduation from upper secondary education (Diplomă de Baccalaureat) and successful completion of competitive entrance examinations is required for admission to first degree programmes.
Admission to postgraduate study is based on successful completion of a first degree programme and a competitive entrance examination.

Length:
Three to six years, depending on the programme for first degree programmes leading to the Diplomă de Subinginer (Diploma of Lower-Level Engineer) or Diplomă de Licentă (Diploma of Licentiate); one to two years for post-graduate programmes leading to the Diplomă de Absolvire a Şcolii Postuniversitare (Diploma of Graduation from Post-University Schools) or Diplomă de Studii Aprofundate (Diploma of Advanced Studies); four years for doctoral programmes leading to the Diplomă de Doctor (Diploma of Doctor); and one year (minimum) for specialist programmes.
Assessment and Promotion:
Students are continuously assessed through coursework and written and oral examinations held at the end of each semester in order to be accepted into the following year of study.  The final or degree examination involves a paper or project plus a general and specialty test.  The criteria for the organization of the degree examinations are determined by the Ministry of Education, and the methodology by the university senate.
