ELEMENTARY EDUCATION
- Elementary education is
administered by local and municipal authorities in India. Children begin
elementary education at approximately age six, in a cycle lasting seven to
eight years. Standards I – V are known as lower elementary and VI-VIII as
upper-elementary. The language of instruction is the regional language of the
State.
