Note: Students within the Sciences stream must choose between 3 out of 4 courses to take: Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Applied Maths for a total of 15 periods per cycle. Students within the Arts stream must choose between 3 out of 5 subjects to take: Chinese Literature, Geography, History, PAC or Commerce.

Assessment and Promotion: 
Students are continuously assessed through coursework (assignments and projects), as well as both written and oral examinations.  At the end of the fifth form at the secondary cycle, students must take the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE), which will give the student access to 

Those students wishing to pursue higher education will continue into Sixth form.  Upon completion, a second national exam, the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) is then written.
