- UPPER
SECONDARY EDUCATION
-
-
- Structure:
- Upper
secondary education is generally completed in three years for lower
secondary school graduates. There are two streams of secondary
programmes; general academic and vocational/technical. The general
academic stream has two options: liberal arts and sciences. The
vocational/technical stream is comprised of programmes in cooking,
electrical technology/electronics, mechanical technology, agriculture,
arts, finance and economics, nursing, etc. and includes general
academic subjects, in addition to coursework in the specialization.
-
- Upon
completion of general academic secondary education students receive a
graduation certificate, which is awarded by the school. The graduation
certificate for students of the vocational/technical stream indicates
the specialisation studied.
