When properly evaluated and recognized, your educational credentials will allow you to
pursue your educational and career goals in Canada. This preliminary equivalency will
give you an immediate indication of how your degrees are viewed in the Canadian context.
How It Works:
It is quick and simple. WES has created a simple preliminary online equivalency tool that
allows you to enter the post-secondary degrees* that you have earned and obtain an instant
Canadian equivalency for them. You may enter five credentials, for the first credential the
fee is $15, and an additional four credentials can be reviewed for $10 each. This fee can be
credited toward the cost of an official evaluation.
*This self-assessment tool is currently limited to post-secondary degrees.
Countries Currently Available for Self-Assessment
WES adds countries to this list on an on-going basis. If your country is
not currently listed, you may request an official WES evaluation.
How to Obtain an Official Evaluation
The preliminary equivalency is for your information only. Academic Institutions, Professional Associations or Regulatory
Bodies and Employers require an official WES evaluation report. To prepare an official evaluation report
WES requires that you submit your actual transcripts and degree certificates. For information on what documents to submit, go to http://www.wes.org/ca/instructions/.
