Credentialing of Non-Canadian Academic Credentials for the Ontario Institute of Agrologists
OIA (Ontario Institute of Agrologists) requires that applicants who have not received
their education in Canada must have their foreign transcript assessed by World Education Services (WES).
Consideration of the application is greatly facilitated by the WES assessment. Credentialing assessment
means converting foreign academic credentials into their Canadian educational equivalents. Provision
of the WES assessment does not replace the requirement for official transcripts.
Applicants are asked to request that a Course-by-Course evaluation report be
prepared for their foreign academic credentials. This report provides a breakdown
of all post-secondary study in terms of Canadian credits, grade equivalents and
grade point average (GPA). However, the Board of Examiners reserves the right
to apply their own evaluation. The assessment is to be sent directly to OIA by
WES. In the WES Application Form indicate the second free copy of the evaluation
report to be directed to OIA office.
