New Government Initiative for Internationally Trained Workers On April 25, 2005, the Government of Canada launched a new initative to support Internationally Trained Workers. The Initative is focused on health-care professionals and the Government has committed to providing $75 million over the next five years to improve the integration of foreign-trained medical professionals.
