Academic institutions can use WES evaluation reports secure in the knowledge that they are based on valid documents and
prepared by experts using the most advanced evaluation information technology, research methods and conversion tools.
The WES evaluation report was designed with input from academic institutions and presents all the items that are essential
in making decisions on admission, placement and the transfer of credits in a clear and consistent manner.
Document Verification
WES policy and requirements on documents reflect the organization's expertise and its many years of experience with
international educational credentials. WES requires that documents be received directly from the institutions that issue them,
and prepares evaluations only after it receives all the necessary credentials in the required mode and format. When necessary,
WES submits credentials to be verified by the issuing institutions. Document requirements are specific to each country, and can

Comprehensive Course-by-Course Report
The Course-by-Course evaluation provides a comprehensive record of a student’s academic history. It identifies each credential in terms of its principal elements: method of receiving academic documents, name of credential, requirements for entry and program length, and it expresses an equivalency in terms of Canadian education. In addition, it contains:
- A statement of the way in which WES has verified the academic documents
- A list of all subjects completed at the post-secondary level
- A Canadian semester credit and grade equivalent for each course
- A Canadian grade point average (GPA) on a 4.0 scale

Document-by-Document Report
A Document-by-Document evaluation identifies and describes each credential in terms of its principal elements: method of receiving academic documents, name of credential, requirements for entry and program length, and expresses an equivalency in terms of Canadian education. This report is suitable for admissions when advanced standing or transfer credit is not expected.
