Information for the Dispensing Opticians of Newfoundland and Labrador

The Dispensing Opticians Of Newfoundland and Labrador (DOBNL) requires that applicants who have completed their education outside of Canada get their transcripts evaluated by World Education Services (WES). Credential assessment means converting foreign academic credentials into their Canadian education equivalents.

Applicants are asked to get a Course-by-Course evaluation. This report provides a breakdown of all post-secondary study in terms of the Canadian credits, equivalents and grade point averages (GPAs). The Course-by-Course evaluation report is to be sent directly to DOBNL by WES. In the WES Application Form, indicate that the second copy of the evaluation report should be directed to the DOBNL office.
