COLLEGE OF OPTOMETRISTS OF ONTARIO
Internationally-educated optometric graduates applying to any Canadian province or territories with the exception of Quebec, are required to have World Education Services (WES) evaluate their credentials earned from institutions outside of Canada. On a temporary basis, the process is as described below:
- A course-by-course evaluation report with ICAP option is required.
- The evaluation will be completed within 7 days of the receipt of your WES application and all required documents.
- After an evaluation is completed, WES will send a report and copies of your verified transcripts directly to the College of Optometrists of Ontario and a copy of the report to you for your records. The Credential Assessment Committee set-up by the College of Optometrists of Ontario, will be assessing your credentials on behalf of the other Canadian provinces/territories except for Quebec.
- The fee for WES services is paid by the candidates for licensure.
